The Space

This is a beautiful unit that offers complete privacy. It is newly renovated and is able to comfortably accommodate a family of four. The king size bed can be split into two single beds and the sleeper couch can either be a queen size sleeper couch or two separate beds. There is a separate lounge and open plan kitchen and this cottage has two bathrooms, one being en suite. The garden courtyard area of this unit is for the exclusive use of Lavender Cottage guests and there is also a private barbecue and outdoor dining area.

Upon arrival, your fridge will be stocked with everything that is needed for a luxurious continental breakfast in the comfort of your own room. Croissants, fresh fruit, yoghurts, home made granola, cereal and cheeses are on the menu as well as Nespresso coffee (each unit is equipped with it's own Nespresso coffee maker). Your fridge will be restocked daily so that you can have breakfast at your leisure. If you have any special breakfast requests, please do not hesitate to ask and we will gladly oblige in any way that we can.

Business travellers will also be very comfortable in this unit as there is a comfortable work space and great wifi.

Guest access

Each unit is fully self contained and separate to our private residence.

While we do live on our property, each of our units are completely private and self contained. We are, however, always available should the need arise and we will gladly assist guests with dinner reservations, and sightseeing recommendations.

You will have the use of a shared garage and will be given remote controls to enter and exit the property as you wish.

The neighbourhood

Mill Park is one of Port Elizabeth's most sought after suburbs to live in. It is on the doorstep of the traditional boys' school, The Grey, and it is undoubtedly one of the most picturesque suburbs of Port Elizabeth. Mill Park is very centrally located and the Port Elizabeth Golf Club is a two minute walk away (for those of you who enjoy a game of golf but prefer to travel light, we do have a spare set in our garage for your use!). The Port Elizabeth airport is a 10 minute drive away as well as the beachfront. Collegiate Girls' School is a quick 3 minute drive away and an easy 15 minute walk.

There are some fabulous restaurants within walking distance and we are very close Port-Elizabeth's trendy Richmond Hill area.

Mill Park is also an ideal location for the discerning business traveller as it is extremely proximate to Port Elizabeth's main business hubs.

Addo Elephant Park is a major attraction for overseas tourists and is a fabulous day trip for those visiting Port Elizabeth.

Getting around

It is best to hire a car when visiting Port Elizabeth, however, we do have good taxi services and there is always Uber! When possible, I am more than willing to provide visitors with lifts to shopping centres and transport to and from the airport.
